ABOUT MARIA

Maria has been an artist for as long as she could remember, she began by drawing women’s

faces, nature and animals. All self taught, her art mediums began with pencil drawings, then

developed a taste for graphic design and acrylic ink painting. After high school, she went to

beauty school to become a wedding and SFX makeup artist, but soon realized she had a

passion for body art and decided to work towards a new goal, to study Tattoo Artistry.

Growing up in Washington and Oregon most of her life, her art was influenced by the beautiful

nature she was surrounded by. Maria began tattooing in Atlanta, Georgia, where she learned a

lot about the styles she wanted to focus on. After a few years living in the south, she felt more at

home up in the mountains and wanted to feel more inspired. Her passion for the outdoors led

her to move across the country all on her own and moved to Utah in 2024.

Outside of tattooing, Maria fuels her creativity through traveling, being outdoors, concerts,

watching movies, yoga, and hiking with her dog.

There is no question that nature has always been a great inspiration for Maria’s art, creating a

lot of contrast in her work with dark elements in the leaves and lightly shaded floral patterns.

Folklore has also been a large motivation for her art and loves tattooing funky creatures like the

baba yaga, mermaids, krakens, unicorns, fairies, and all kinds of mythical creatures. She likes to

have a balance of tattooing in black and grey tones and muted color palettes.
